My airbag sdm has a short in it...we had water in the floor after a heavy rain and the airbag light came on shortly after it was started up. I had a friend check it with his scanner and it shows a B1071 code and I believe the second code was a B1054...I should have written them down. I'm curious to know if all GM "black boxes" are the same? Will one from an *-10 pickup work? Does it have to be the same year? I read in another post on here about someone purchasing one on ebay and I have seen a few there, but I don't want to buy one that isn't compatible.
