Default '99 Tahoe, rear brake drum issue. Need help

I just replaced both rear drums, shoes and new rear brake hardware. The passenger side is working great. The driver'* side is dragging and will get very hot in a very short time.

On the driver side the front shoe is moving inward when it is pushed out by the wheel cylinder. Then it hangs up on the top edge on the top fixed anchor mounting plate.

Any ideas what may be causing this to occur, and how I can correct it?

Thank you for the help.
