Default 96 Chevy Blazer 4.3L no spark

Hello folks! I have a 96 blazer with a 4.3L and I'm not getting any spark. was driving it and when I parked and came out it would sometimes not start on first try but then it would on second or third. then one day was going to town and it just quit on me. the motor cranks but wont start. have pulled a plug and do not see a spark. I have replace coil, cap and rotor, pick up coil and new battery cables. still no spark. any help would be appreciated.

Ignition switch is very common failure preventing a Blazer that is turning over not to start. I am assuming your "no spark" test is valid, the number one reason a Blazer doesn;t start is a failing fuel pump.

if its the same as the 8s the spark is from the crank sensor by the bottom of the crank pully. the cam sensor in the dist it can run without

If no spark, you need to see if you have power to the ICM and Coil, and the ground circuit to the ICM....if ok, then you need to check for a switching signal from the ICM......if ok, need a coil.....if not ok, need to check for a trigger signal from the VCM to ICM...if you have that signal, bad ICM.....if you don't, the most likely culprit is the crank sensor....
