I have an 08 c5500 with an 8.1 Gas engine. When the truck is cold it runs fine but once it warms up when you take off from a stop the truck stalls. If you crank it, it will start right back up and be ok for a few min but then if you slow down and take off again it will stall. It does it when towing a load or empty.



It has not caused a check engine light to come on. Scanned it but there are no hidden codes either.



We have put in a new fuel filter which did not help.

We put in a new crank position sensor but still have the same problem.



Any help is much appreciated !!

Welcome to the forum! Have you tried checking the fuel pressure, air filter, and vacuum lines for a vac leak?

THANKS ! - changed air filter - no vaccum leaks and fuel pressure is good

does it idle rough? alot of DBW engines are having issues with the carbon build up on the butterfly/tb

does not run rough at all - even when it stalls it doesnt hesitate or run rough just shuts down
