Interesting: I poked around the Internet and couldn't find anything definitive.

The easy way would be to start it, put it in the "M" range, then toggle up to the highest gear it will let you get to. Should be 6, 8, or 10. Let us know and then you'll have your answer.

I did that . It'* a 10 speed. Thanks for your response. . I could not find it either. With this information do you what transmission it is ? Is GM having trouble with this Transmission getting hot ? Thanks again .

It'* a 10L80 , and no I haven't heard of any chronic issues with heat on these. They've actually been holding up pretty well from what I can tell.

I'm very happy with my 2019 Yukon with the 6.2L and 10 speed. I really didn't think I would like the transmission. Funny thing is, there are lots of complaints on Ford forums, and they were the primary designer! The GM implementation seem to be very smooth and quick shifting.

Yeah, Ford had some teething issues with the 10R80 in the F-150, but I haven't heard much about issues with the same transmission in the Expedition.
