2014 Silverado with 50000 miles and towes a single axle trailer occasionally with a 4 prong plug. I get a message on the message center stating "Trailer Brake System" along with a chime. I can hit "dismiss" or what for it to clear on it'* own. Often it will come right back on or take a few seconds or minutes. No trailer is hooked up to the truck while the weather is mid 80'* or 90'* either dry or high humidity.

Has anyone else experience this situation and have any resolution to it? I have heard the "brake switch" is failing and needs to be replaced and is located above the spare tire.
