Default 2012 GMC Sierra Electrical Issues. NEED HELP!!

I am having a serious mechanical/electrical problem and I really am at a loss of where to go. I pretty much tore my truck apart to put new carpet and utility lighting throughout. In doing so, I was trying to go through the main grommet in the firewall with an exacto and it must have hit something. I pulled back and the tip of the exacto was black and bent. Unfortunately, I had the positive of the battery disconnected and not the negative. So I am thinking that I grounded something out. Now, the horn, ac/heater blower, and an airbag notification is on. I checked all the fuses I could find. It looks like they are all intact. I really need some guidance as to what I should do next. Should I replace all of the relays and fuses anyway? Reset the computer? I am truly at a loss and I'm really pissed at myself for putting myself in this position. Let me know what your thoughts are and THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Based on this, I don't think you electrically damaged anything.

Based on both quotes together, I bet you damaged some wires, maybe causing some to cross with one another. Next step: Check continuity between fuse contacts to see which wires are crossed.

I did check continuity via multimeter on every fuse I could find. And all fuses were fine. Is there any other way to check? I just don't know what would cause my horn, airbag, and ac blower to go haywire.

Sorry, I meant between contacts on different circuits.

1. Disconnect the battery
2. Pull the fuses (and keep track of where each one came from)
3. Probe side A of the first fuse port with one lead
4. Probe side A of all of the other fuse ports with the other lead
5. If you find continuity on any of them, you've found your short
6. Probe side B of the first fuse port with one lead
7. Probe side B of all of the other fuse ports with the other lead
8. If you find continuity on any of them, you've found your short

Thanks so much for this. I have looked everywhere on how to do this with no luck. The only thing I can figure is that maybe my positive terminal might have been barely touching without my knowledge. I did get into the main wiring harness and there were 2 small wires that were fused together and 3 more that looked like they might have been nicked. It is so hard to get up in there, but I was able to solder the 2 wires back together and wrap with tape. They are so short, I couldn't get heat shrink on them. I'm going to go back in there today and try to wrap everything with wire loom tape and then tape everything back up with self fusing silicone tape. Hopefully, this will solve my problem. I can't thank everyone enough for all of the help.
