Default 2006 gmc smo

my 2006 GMC Sle 4WD 5.3 flex fuel
it wont activate the EV monitor or the OH monitor
everthing is in place ( no bastardizing)
the vehicles is not throwing any codes just wont activate the monitors so it wont smog
on my hand held EV and OH are flashing
drove the truck 75 miles yesterday -usually it tests all clear
I dont drive it much so it stays parked most the time with the battery disconnected
any help would be appreciated

Every time you disconnect the battery the monitors will be set to incomplete.

Yeah I got that
all systems have activated except the EV and OH monitor
I changed the gas cap -didn't help

Gas cap doesn't effect 'monitors'. Drive cycles that complete tests will trigger the monitors to be 'COMPLETED'
If you had a EVAP fault code, then the gas cap 'may' fix it, but you need to clear faults first. Then the system will do its tests as you drive.
