Default 2003 Yukon XL Denali left front door disassembly

My left front door window stopped operating. So I need to disassemble the door to look for the problem which may just be replacing the Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly.

My problem is that I can't seem to get the panel holding all the window switches removed. The back pops out, but something is holding the front in and I can't seem to pop it loose.

I have watched all the door disassembly videos that I can find on the web. They all show non Denali versions with very simple clips. My clips are not the same.

Is there anyone with experience taking Denali doors apart out there than can tell me how to get this part loose?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Carl

Default thanks for post

thanks for the input. I can tell you that the back clip was not very secure. It popped out easily with just my fingers. The front will not pop loose.

Since my original post I found a picture of a bare door panel for sale on ebay that is the same as mine. It shows a single hole at the front of the opening for the window switch panel. Is this hole for a screw that is hidden by the fake woodgrain? A different type of clip?

Default more info

I also recently found a used switch cover for sale on ebay that is the same as mine. Even with a picture of the underside, I still cannot determine how the front should be loosened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Carl

from that view the tube on the switch cover is threaded so apparently a screw comes in from underneath and into the cover, may be one of those deals where you have to remove the door panel as far as you can the reach in and unplug the connectors

.......The door panel comes off first and then you go from the back side of the panel to unscrew the switch panel.......

Remove the plastic trim piece behind the interior door release lever

Next

Pop out the manual lock/unlock lever.......behind that lever you will find a bolt.....remove that bolt and the whole door panel lifts up a couple inches.....you can then unplug the switch panel or unscrew the switch panel and pass it thru its door panel opening.
