I'm new the forum. I'm having trouble with my brakes on my
2003 Silverado 1500 Z71.
Changed out Pads and Rotors about two month'* ago ... This week every time I apply my breaks they seem to lock up. Or make a weird grinding noise. I've
re-bleed the brakes.
The other Forum'* I've read there'* really no answer as to why it'* doing this. Some say it'* break lines, booster, calipers, and also have heard ABS..

Does any body have anymore ideas ..??? Or trouble shooting tips ??

did you clean and grease the metal hardware on the caliper, make sure the pad slides freely? alot of the pads have casting crap that needs to be filed down

What kind of rotors and pads did you get. I have had really cheap pads make noise. Not sure if that'* your problem but might be. Some of the real cheap ones are made hard and with lots of metallic in them which makes them make noise.

I had an issue with my brakes locking up (2005 Sierra) and it ended up being a broken seal on the axle. Gear oil was causing the drum to stick.
