No real option but to replace the cats. You could go the illegal route, but lets face it they are on there for a reason. In regards to the price, it is because of the expensive metals inside the cat. converter.

Well we happened to find the only cat available for my truck in the Omaha metro and am having it installed tomorrow, no shop in this area will do one of the universal ones because of the way it sits under the truck, where the O2 sensor is, and they say they wont fit right. I guess thats what I get for having an odd truck. Dont really care about the leagality of it (obviously i dont want to break the law) but the truck is not being easy on the wallet right now. I am more woried about damage which i am being told it could do if i ran with out.
