2002 Dash and electrical problems! HELP!
Hey fellas! Im having major issues with my electrical system and if anyone has any input that would be amazing. I have a video here of me explaining everything that’* going on. Thank you!
Ok, my parents bought this 2002 gmc Yukon slt with a 5.3 and a 4l60e. It has 240,000 miles on it. It never really had any problems except in 2022 one of the knock sensors went bad. Engine light came on and we never got around to fixing it. Then on the 4th of July 2023 the fuel pump went out. We fixed it within that week with a fuel pump from a1 auto. Then some of the lights on the climate control went out and it’* been running really rough and stalling when you come to a stop sometimes. Also several of the gauges stoped working and all the dash lights came on and the brights indicator stoped working. Today I fired it up to wash it and it acted like it did ten years ago. Completely normal then all the problems came back except for the engine running rough and the check engine light and a couple other lights stayed off. I tried running the OBD 2 scanner and no codes came up. I cleared them too and nothing changed. Any clue what this could be? Maybe a bad ground or fuel pump? Has only been driven 300 miles since that day in July. If anyone knows anything it would be so greatly appreciated.
Make and model of this fuel pump?
Was the fuel filter replaced at the same time?
Did it run well after this?
Who did the work (you or a shop or a friend'* brother'* cousin'* acquaintance or . . . ) ?
This is probably not related to the drivetrain issues, so let'* table this until later.
After replacing the fuel pump?
Which gauges stopped working?
Where are the non-working gauges pointing?
Like all of the problem lights? . . . or the illumination lights?
How old is the battery?
How old is the fuel?
How much fuel is in it?
What is the fuel pressure with the ignition on and the engine stopped?
What is the fuel pressure at idle?
How many miles on the spark plugs?
What is the voltage reading with a meter at the battery while the ignition is off?
What is the voltage reading with a meter at the battery while it is running?
When did your parents buy this car?
How many miles did it have on it when they bought it?

Exhaust bolts aren't related to the running issues, although these aren't known for exhaust bolts failing, so this is good to know. Maybe some other work was done to it for some reason.
