Default 2001 Chevy 1500 radiator question

2001 Chevy suburban 1500
Keeps leaking fluid out of the hose (as seen circled in photo) coming off the drain plug when I rev up or take the radiator cap off. Has new water pump and radiator as I wasn?t sure where the leak was coming from before but now I?m certain it was the same issue to begin with coming out of this hose. Any tips appreciated

Is that hose connected to the petcock?

Is the valve closed?

The only thing down there should be the petcock valve.

Can you get us some pictures of this?

What make and model radiator is that?

Where'd you get it?

Is the fluid that it is leaking antifreeze or something else?

Spoiler

the radiator is as pictured above I can get a better pic when I get home but the hose circled in red in the pic above just sits on the side of the radiator in a little slot looks like a breather tube does not connect to anything the petcock/ drain plug come out the front tube comes out the side of the housing when I rev the engine it spews out like a water fountain it is coolant that come out

This could be caused by a few different issues. First, check if the radiator cap is holding pressure properly; a faulty cap can cause excess pressure and push coolant out. If the cap is fine, inspect the hose for any cracks or damage that could be allowing fluid to escape.

If the cap seems fine, the next step would be to inspect the hoses for any cracks or damage. Even small leaks can lead to significant coolant loss over time. Make sure to check the connections as well, as loose fittings can also be a culprit. If you’re not seeing any visible issues, it might be worth looking into other components like the radiator or water pump. Hopefully, you can pinpoint the problem soon!
