Default 2000 Jimmy 4.3 vortec no start please help

So to start the truck just cranks with no attempt to start, I have checked spark in 3 cylinders and there is spark (the plugs are sparking but they are old), I replaced the fuel filter just because (12$) and that changed nothing, the fuel pump is fairly loud when turning the ignition to the on position I am thinking it may be weak? I am going to test the fuel pressure at the point next to the distributor pack today I just have to go borrow the kit from autozone. does anyone know what pressure it should be at that spot? do I just crank and watch or is there a different procedure? anybody have any ideas? I tried sparaying fuel directly into the tb and it still didn't even try to start.

there lots of common fuel issues on those, fuel pressure is one of the first things i check on cpi. key on engine off is like high 50'* and if it comes up but fades away its a regulator or leak in the plentum area with the poppets or regulator. if it only comes to less than 50 its more likely a pump. just because you hear it doesnt mean its good anymore, they are very pressure sensitive and will do all kinds of crazy stuff if it doesnt have the right pressure all the time

So key on it goes straight to 55-56 psi then slowly starts fading in a few min it'* around 45psi any ideas. I would expect that to be enough to at least try to start

Pressure is low, needs 60 psi to pop the injectors open. Hows the fuel filter?

Filter is brand new! Plugs aren't even getting wet. Where did you get that spec 60 psi to open the injectors? Could the pippets or regulator be leaking into the intake the oil has a very light smell of gas in it.

The pressure goes down slowly after key off its not rapid. I have seen a couple other threads state there should be 60-67 psi to run I feel like the pump is bad and that'* why there isn't any fuel hitting the cylinders. Also think the regulator could be bad

#1 reason is fuel pump. #2 reason is defective ignition switch. Both huge high failure items preventing starting on a S10, Blazer, Bravada, Jimmy, Sonoma.

What would the ignition switch symptoms be?
