06 Denali 6-disc changer stopped working
My 6-disc CD changer suddenly stopped working. It has 6 discs loaded, three different books on tape from the library. Display shows disc 1 track 3 5:00. When I press any control button on the touch display, I heard a confirming beep but nothing happens. Nothing happens when I press load or eject. When the truck is first started, I get a pop up message "No music disc" which I have never seen before. All the discs are commercial audio discs that were working fine.
I disconnected the battery for an hour and reconnected to try and reset the system--no effect.
I have no clue on how to even start removing the changer. I'm ok if it never works again, but I need to get the discs back to the library! Which is cheaper, pay the dealer or pay the library?

Is it the changer that is located in the console? Or is it all in the head unit? Ive pulled the head unit and just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it has sort of rebooted and started working before. Also check all the fuses, I seem to remember having a issue with the remote changer having a issue with blowing a fuse making it not act right.

This changer is a seperate unit located below the HVAC contols. The NAV DVD disc is in the head unit.
I thoughg about fuses too. According to the manual, there is only on fuse for the "Audio System." Because the radio still works on AM/FM, I didn't check the fuse. Guess i beter do that too to eliminate other potential causes?
