I can understand that..but buying the stuff for a full rebuild will cost you money...having just the prob fixed on warranty wont!

There seems to be TSB on it by that thread you posted. Hmmmmm. I'll print that out for when we take it in.

I also no longer think it'* the valves. I added in a quart of High Mileage 5W-30 from Walmart the other night. Started it up this morning and no smoke.

I work for a Chevy dealer and we see a lot of these. Usually its a pvc issue and you have to get a new valve cover to repair this issue, If its under warranty take it in. This is a known problem

It'* under aftermarket warranty. $100 out of pocket.

Even though it has stopped smoking since adding oil, the evidence is there to get it fixed right?

napa lists this for your truck, ive never had it apart but if its only 8 bucks you may just want to do it your self. there might be one on each side i would imagine.
