Well, there's your problem right there.
|
Ya think?
What's the melting point of aluminum? 660 degress C. (1220 F). |
amazing pictures
And yes not running 91 in a modded supercharged car is a terrible idea. |
:bdead:
That pic of Bo hanging his head is classic. You can see the grief. :( On a positive note, the next Zilla engine will be awesome. Hope you put some billet forgings in that baby. Should be a fun swap. Take your time and enjoy. None of this 2 hour quicky Boosty swap stuff. Slow and easy and enjoy each and every bolt torquing. 8) You have all winter. Save the best for when I get there on Dec.17 ;) |
Let's clarify something.
I can't pump my own gas in Oregon. If I miss watching the pump jockey ONE TIME, this is what happens. Modified? I flow like no other series1. I run with ZERO KR on premium. Very well tuned. This can happen to a STOCK L67 that doesn't flow as well. Think about it. |
Wow... well that really sucks. I really like the pictures, boroscopes are amazing.
|
Are you planning to take this up with the gas station?
|
Detonation is a bitch. Early combustion and shockwaves/flamefronts colliding at the rim of the piston can break stuff. At least the ring took it like a champ.

Let this be a lesson to every L67 owner out there that chooses to save a buck by running lower octane. Ed |
