i'm actually thinking i might have just broken a tranny line and puked out all the fluid. i'm gonna have to look at it sunday. the thing shifted flawlessly yesterday but went from runs fine to complete slippage in 2 minutes this morning. i didn't even get out of my complex. the tranny fluid is all over the street where it died, and where it was parked last night.
i'm wondering if one of the lines might have broken and leaked out all the fluids. then without any fluids in it the car lost it'* ability to drive... at all. am i reaching here? is this even a possibilty? i can't look at it until sunday, so untill then it'* just spectulation.
if thats the case i'll just run a new set of lines to a massive tranny cooler and top it off with some nice fluid. change the filter and gasket at the same time and be on the road again.
lets hope for the best.

the dipstick was dry, the fluid was very obviosly all over the ground.
it has about 130K on it?
should i start a new thread or see about moving this to '92 through whatever tech/mech?

Don't bother with it. You need a reliable vehicle, and even if it just puked the fluid, a dry tranny can take a lot of damage really quick. God knows what that did to it.
