I picked up the November issue of Pontiac Performance (I think, its in the car right now), and it has, of all things...a prototype 2 door Bonnie!! Its a 91 "what-if", and it was if I remember, based off of the Oldsmobile 88 2-door. The front end of the 4 door Bonnie was transplanted, the rear deck was reworked to accept the Bonnie tails, and the dash was transplanted from an SSE, but it retained the seats and the rest of the interior pieces from the Olds, due to this car being a "stepchild".
Pick it up, and lets see if we can get a string going here, eh?

Theoretically speaking, could it be done? The frames of a bonne and a 2 door lesabre or 88 should be the same right? That would be the ultimate H body mod I think...

Guess I was a day late and a dollar short on this one...and I thought I was a smart cookie. Anyhoot, I would think it could be done, as it was already done by the factory (those were pics of a factory built car), but it would take some fab work on the rearend. Or you *could* take all the doors off of the Bonnie, cut out the middle beams, and relocate them 3 or so inches to the rear, put some metal where the posts used to be on the top and bottom, cut the front doors in half and extend them 3 inches.....
