this happens when it is NOT in overdrive, it is when the torque converter clutch is locked, and it is unable to engauge all the way. I was advised by an (independent) trans shop to use some Limited slip differential additive.
if that does not work they will do a basic rebuild with 1 year warranty for only $1700 vs the $2000+ because most every other part in there should be in new shape
for the record the trans is almost 3 years old. Therefore I have no warranty

Is this specific for a FWD or something they add to a RWD rear end?
If its what I think it is wouldn't it be harmful to the clutches? Just wondering

HMM, I'll see if dads interested in selling the 4T60E HD he has here out of the 1993 Park Avenue Ultra parts car. Has 93k on it and worked excellent the 20 miles we drove it.
One thing to note is that it is not a Traction Control equipped trans so the trans would work, but your TC would be defunct.

i wonder if this is what my paroblem is with my sputtering shake type problem iv had sense i got my car.. at agout 47-52 when its in 4th at around 1,700 rpm i it feels like i have a miss fire....
