Default Yay! open headers (sorta)

I was coming home from work today when suddenly my exhaust got REALLY FREAKIN LOUD! Stopped, looked, and the exhaust was disconnected right before the cat. I still had about a 45 minute drive home still, so lets just say I needed the Excedrin when i got home. Anyone thinking about doing an open exhaust on these cars needs smacked (although it did have a really badass idle to it at stoplights). Looks like it'* time for me to get a high flow kitty. What a shame....

Didn't really test the waters. Was too busy watching for the fuzz waiting to bust me on a crackpot noise violation. This evening, I may have to venture out though.

I say just get rid of that exhaust from the cat back and throw a muffler where it broke off.

Just got back from the shop. The break is on the cat side of the connection, so a new one is required. Perfect opportunity for some high flow goodness.

Does anyone have a Magnaflow cat on a 2.25" system? Did you use a 2.5" cat and adapted, or is there a 2.25 at my disposal?

Has anyone heard of or used a catalytic converter made by Walker? Are they any good? What is a good price for them? Input from those that know, please!

Thanks Bill. It seems as that is the only brand of exhuast pieces that anyone carries around here. Talked to three stores, all three dealt with Walker, and had nothing to do with Magnaflow (which is what I'm looking to get). One guy even said "Magnaflow?! Thats a new one to me." May just hafta go internetting for this unit.
