The worst accident I've seen
I saw this post on another forum.. http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1584624.phtml
I swear that this is freaky because I've never really seen an accident in my life that was that bad, but JUST this year I've seen 5. Two were rollovers, one was a head on, one was a tree falling ontop of a car as they were driving down the road, and the fifth was a car getting T-Boned pulling out of a gas station on their way to where I work, knocking out two light polls and making us lose power. There were flashing lights from emergency vehicles from 6:00PM until 12:30AM! The last two accidents I saw on the same day. Bad omen or what?
I can't even imagine coming across an accident like that one though.

Scary stuff..... if it'* true....
I read through a few reply posts on the Audi forum.....
One guy brought up a few good points....
Also, should this post be moved to the Lounge, since it'* not Bonneville related, or at least (On the Road).
In any case, it'* a good reminder why not to do ridiculous speeds.

There is no blood.
There is no fuel/oil/water or anything. You will note the engine is clean of fluids as is the rear of the car (fuel tank) which has crashed backwards into a tree.
There is no glass. If you pay any attention to the scene you will notice there is no glass anywhere not in the car, on the ground or left in any of the frames.
The ground is unbroken. Given that most of the crashed components are sharp and quite heavy the ground is not broken, look again at the engine if that had flown out of the car and crashed into the gound...

I saw that post too. The guy does have good points. Strange though, as the pics look quite real and un-doctored...but what do I know, Photoshop can do all sorts of stuff.

(But I don't see any cameras..... and their is an officer measuring things too)
I noticed the pictures of the dash had some dust/dirt and possibly glass on it.
Also the speedo is on 100km/h

There are a lot of photos, I bet a real crash investigator might be able to shed some light on this.

i also noticed the drivers side airbag did not deploy, however it does look very real for some reason.
We had this happen last summer twice down here. Both with grand prix GTP'*, one was a 16 yo who stole his buddies car and took it down a windy road at close to 90? mph. Split the car right in 1/2. The passengers door was found 70 yards away from the impact site and the head rest was found 120 yards away.
The next one was on another noturiously bad road in a heavy rain storm, another GTP, hit 2 telephone poles and split in 1/2, the rear section was left in the road and the front was down over the embankement. Unfortunately everyone was killed on impact. That'* also the year i traded the GTP.
