That wasn't the standard equipment final ratio? 3.06 was optional on the SE'* (H4U) I believe.

If you wanna believe you're RWD, you're more than welcome to. I should say FINAL drive ratio, but it doesn't really matter. It'* commonly done because that'* what people understand.

All supercharged engines mated to the 4T65E(HD) are 2.93 ratio. L67'* from 91-96 are mated to the 4T60E(HD) with a 2.97 ratio.

Its from a car for sale on e-bay. I figured it was a miss-print, but if you say GM does it like that on purpose for more people to understand it...
I would think that anyone who understands drive ratio in the first place would also know the difference between where the gearing is.

GM doesn't print those stickers, the dealer or soomeone he hires does. I used to have to service the printer of the guy here that did all the new car dealers here.
Maybe thats changed over the years.

Just a correction, the '96 has a freak transmission. 4T60E-HD with 2.93 ratio. Go figure.
