I'm still a firm believer that the 92-95 headlight design is more forgiving on SS'*, as mine in the 93 have lasted over 2 years. I intend to prove it on the 95 as another test subject.

The light output is incredible. Much better than stock. Comparing the 93 to the 95 side by side made me miss the Silver Stars.

MUCH better Bill, the SS is a much brighter headlight, you dont have DRLs down there, less of a worry. My Silverstars are from the Alero, they are about a year old, and work fine now. The fog lights is were the difference was REALLY at i noticed, MUCH brighter

Angle of the camera. Compare the driver'* headlight in both pics. And it'* not a good representation of what'* on the road. That'* an even bigger difference. The yellow sucks.

Difference is mainly from the color temperature. You will get more glare on snow and such with the SS over a standard, or upgraded bulb.

The Xtra vision is the European SS from what i've read as well.

With all the driving I do l year round , I found a big difference especially in the winter, I could not believe the difference. I find I was able to see way better in the winter ( at night) with the SS no matter if it was a heavy snow storm or not, it was great.

So as for more "glare" I don't know about that. Just talking about my own personal experience with putting about 44,000 MILES ( not kms it'* around 70,000kms) per year, and the SS being on for about a year and a half maybe 2 years now.

I love the SS not crazy about the price though. I've had a low beam set for more then a year now no problems and they have been in my Bonne since April or May. I just got a set of H3 SS for my fogs which I haven't put in yet. ( I gave "Freebie" my old 880 SS to my buddy who just bought a 2000 GP GT)

I've got 30 miles to work and most of it is before daylight. I definately prefer the SS over OEM.

Considering a HID conv in the future.
