I bought mine because my mom had had awesome luck with the 3 3800'* she had before I bought my 1992 SE. I got my 1992 SE and found I was driving a chick magnet (at least after I detailed it and threw some AR Speedstar rims with Vogue tyres on). Then I found I could drive it anywhere without worrying about breaking down, or too low of MPG'*.

Then I was in an accident that in anything smaller could have been a sad sight (and feeling). I was rear ended by a 1989 Jeep Cherokee that at impact was going "..approximately 60 MPH." the police said. I walked away (actually I drove the 100 miles home) with no real injuries beyond a slight case of whip lash that lasted about 3 days. The Bonneville suffered a total loss of her rear end. The only car I thought about replacing it with was another Bonneville.
I have now owned 4 more Bonneville daily driver Bonneville'* and have bought and sold 2 other 1992 Bonneville parts cars (another green 1992 SE and a black 1992 SSE).

to be honest...i dont even know why...

before i bought mine, i had no knowledge of it, other than some were supercharged...

so thats what i got...now im in love with every little curve, its my baby, and everyone that knows me personally knows that ANDREW and BONNEVILLE go hand and hand...

I guess I'll be the first to contrast.

I don't love the Bonneville.

I like it. I'd buy another one if the right one came up... ie, mint 1991 SSE + ghetto gold (no other variant), or 1996-1999 SSEi in great shape.

In terms of my car, I'll get this straight: it rides great, has good torque down low. But it'* no be-all end-all kinda fast car. Car and Driver'* 17.3 @ 79 (read: "yes") somewhat confirms that. Feels fast, yeah, but I ain't gonna challenge a 2003 Toyota Corolla (16 second wonder right there. )

For me, that'd be the Nurburgring

Because I have one. And I like 'em. And I'm a forum junkie.

NO car fits every need. The Bonneville fits mine. I bet I could smoke that 16 second
Corolla though and many others on here could also. Several guy'* on here
are turning 13'*. Thats fast in anyones book.

Every car is designed for a nitch crowd. A Bonneville wont' turn 1g sideways
but I can haul five guys to the track with it. I've had cars that would turn in at close to
1 g.

It was a blast .... for about 30 minutes.

Cool track but I bet no one ever went 700 MPH on it !

I will break my suspension? Uh oh.. maybe that'* why the car is sitting on her arse.. Not really, I know it is bad.. it was just for the sake of argument. My mom'* VW couldn't take a speed bump above 10mph without killing yourself.

I agree whole heartedly MOS!! I enjoy my 91 for the way it rides, handles, the extras it has and I especially love to watch peoples heads turn as I drive by. No matter where I go people stop what they're doing and watch my car go by. I am always getting compliments on how sharp my ride is

I just had passengers this past weekend and they were suprised that it rode so smooth. It is a cruiser and it can fly too.

I am very content with my car.
