the reason im leaning towards the ceramic pads is because i heard they dont make that nasty black dust that gets all over my rims, is there any truth in this? oh ya and the grinding feel in the brake pedal doesnt feel the greatest either.
Whats RSM'*?
Whats RSM'*?
If you use ceramic pads on factory rotors it may wear the rotors faster than normal, but the pads will last longer.
I haven't seen much of any brakedust since I got the ceramic pads put on. I also have the DP rotors and both the rotors and pads show very little sign of wear for being install for as long as they have been.

Ceramic pads will warp stock rotors. I don't suggest it unless you're looking for the excuse to buy the rotors Gordy and I are running. The RSM'* from DP aren't bulletproof, either. That'* a story for another day
I switched to a ceramic and I the brake dust has been cut by 90%! Or something like that.
When I would cleam my wheels I would go through 2 rags just to get one wheel clean, now I can use the same rag and get the fronts very clean.

I still am running semi-metallic (forgot the brand) brake pads. The brake dust is plentiful, which sucks especially on the ghetto golds.
But I found this wheel cleaner called "Greased Lightning Orange Blast" in a 32 oz bottle. This sh** is awesome! I barely have to scrub anymore. The jet spray from it takes most of the dust off...and I use a toothbrush a little and the whels are clean. I still may get a lot of dust but it takes me so much shorter a time to clean them. Thought this may help some ppl out.
Plus I got it from a wholesale club store, and got it in bulk....3 - 32oz bottles for less than $10!!! Huge friggin deal.
