General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Where did you learn about cars?

I had five older brothers. Two of the oldest had almost identical late fifties Pontiacs and they were very competitive. Later one of them ordered a beautiful 66 Grand Prix with three deuces, four speed, 3/4 racing cam and I think a 4:11 rear end. He did other minor cosmetic modifications later. I was sixteen and hooked for life.

I learned off my 95 Regal just by needing to get work done to it and not trusting anyone else to do it. My knowledge increased by a large margin when I bought the Jag and started working on that as well. I guess you have to start somewhere.

Haha I barely trust Les Schwab to balance my tires!

I let my sister drive my car, against my best judgment, and the first thing she does is run my mirror into another car! Now I can see why I am distrusting with my vehicles...
