What do you like for a good "all season" performance radial on a stock 16" wheel for a '92 SSE? I think I will go with a 225 60/16. We only get 15-20" snow a year in southern Indiana but I don't want to be completely stranded on the days that it does snow. Hope you fine folks can help me narrow the field a little bit.

I have Goodyear HPs too, but the tread on those is a not good for winter, if you know what I mean. Otherwise my father bought me a set of Goodyear Weatherhandlers, they seem to work all right. :?

We couldn't afford the Goodyears on my old GP with 16'* so we ended up going with the Firestone Affinities and found they stuck to the ground in almost all weather better than Goodyear Eagles (what we had on there before). I can't remember the exact specs but they had an excellent speed rating and lasted for a very long time despite numerous take offs.

Michelin Energy MXV4...fine as a stock tire...great in fact, but there are most cost efficient tires out there. Tirerack has em listed at $149 USD EACH :?

Goodyear Eagle RS.A HP, T/R, GTX4, American Eagle

Just stuck 2 of these on Kendra'* car as she bumped a curb and bruised one. 170.00 USD (each) out the door. Only problem with these tires is that Michelin does not put a mileage warranty on them. They are pretty good handling tires though (for the 2 days of ridden on them).

No no...don't get me wrong, I like the tires, they are great....but when it comes time to replace, I can probably get a better pair of Toyos, Kumhos or Pirellis...

But it sucks in my case because my tire size is so rare...not many all season 235/60/R16...oh well, time for 18" rims
