Default what'* in a engine and tranny warranty

got the car less than a month ago, noticed the other day when I turned it on it was f****** jerking and hesitating? My immediate thought was tranny trouble, so.... I took it to autozone to get it check by the scan tool? (WHY) anyway the guy told me I had a bad spark plug in socket 3 or bad coil pack or bad sp wire?

does this sound right?

anyway I took it back to the dealer from where I got it to check it out, they're saying I have a bad injector and a BROKEN MOTOR MOUNT?!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm F****** HOT They tell me this and I'm like hold the **** on buster? bad motor mount and I have to pay? hmm..... what in the **** does my warranty corver exactly as far as the engine and transmission is concerned? I hung up the phone on that B**** A** MuthaF**** I feel angry and played can someone tell me what the Engine and Transmission warranty cover actaully cause I'm really ready to show my a** at the dealer; Hell, we have a holiday coming up I can't afford to pay for this sh** I"m very dissapointed in these folks, why don't people do the right thing now a days?I don't even know if it'* actaully broken or if it'* some bullsh**

do you have a copy of the warrenty?
I know its a pain in the *** to read all the fine print, but it will tell you exactly
what is covered when it comes to the tranny and motor.
and I think if your under 30 days you should be all set.

DEFINITELY get a second opinion from anything place besides where you bought it. Take it to another shop, don't mention anything about a broken motor mount, and see if they find one broken. They may, or they may not. Then you'll know if they are crooks or not.

Did you get any oaoerwork with the warranty? What kind of warranty is it...what company? Or is it just a dealership warranty? If you didn't get any paperwork with what it covers I'd make them give you that info.

I would at least check your coil packs and plugs to be sure if they fix the problem. But I'd get a second opinion on the motor mount, or check yourself.

yea, got the warranty in the car, it'* at the dealer..... I opted for the 3month 3k mile e/t warranty, what is cover by this warranty? I'm confused spark plugs are engine related motor mount wtf?! I definately would have noticed that (my 93 had to be replaced)

I'm more baffaled at what the E/T really covers? what does it have to do die for it to be covered? damn so many loop holes, I'm going to call the **** tommorrow and apply more pressure on this f** he doesn't want to fix then we're going to have a childish confrintation.

Usually engine warranties don't cover spark plugs, since they are common wear parts. Kind of like why brake pads aren't covered under warranties. I doubt mounts are included in any warranty. I have a 100,000 mile warranty with my other car that covers practically everything. I'll go get it so you have some idea of what is covered sometimes. But every warranty is different.

I hope you didn't have to pay too much for your 3mo. warranty.

Not that this will help you much, but at least you can compare what your warranty covers:

Mine covers:

Engine (all internal lubed parts, camshaft and bearings, connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft, block, supercharger, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, oil pump, gears pistons, piston rings, timing chain/belt, heads, rocker arms, pushrods.....

Seals and gaskets, transmission (all internal parts, TC, clutch plates, governor, etc.)

axles, A/C, brakes (master cylinder, booster, wheel cylinders....)

electrical, hi-tech electrical, etc.

That'* some of what'* covered. That'* a warranty I wish i could have on the Bonne.

not that much I think he quoted me 375 total for the feul injector and motor mount installed. don't need new injectors I'll just clean them out evey oil change I'm thinking BS about the mount. Dunno, I'll just have to see what they're going to say tommorrow, I'm about over it, I wouldn't be so upset if it wasn't so close to the end of the month too many bills coming around at once.

Acting like a trash-talking childish crybaby (if I may be so bold) is probably going to get you . . .nowhere. Sure you're pissed, sure your money is tight and you don't want to pay for your car repairs, but your money problems are not the problem of someone else, they're YOUR problem. *YOU* not having money to pay for repairs has never been a reason for anyone else to be financially responsible for your repair bill. You keep asking what good is your warranty, what does it cover, what has to happen for your warranty to cover your engine, etc; -you should have been asking these questions BEFORE you bought the car, not now. YOU are the one who bought a car with a warranty that you didn't bother to read or understand what it covers, what it doesn't, and what parts you'd be responsible for. If you bought this car and it already had a broken motor mount, and you didn't have the car thoroughly inspected by an impartial and qualified facility, -well that'* your fault too. I hate to tell you that this is how you learn to be a cautious and intelligent consumer, but. . .this is how you learn to be a cautious and intelligent consumer. I bet you read the warranty before you buy your next car, huh?

Seriously though, if you're old enough and responsible enough to drive a car, I think you should stop acting like a pottymouthed baby and start dealing with your situation like an adult. Chalk it up as a learning experience.

Also, you aren't obligated to have the dealer fix any of this, you can usually have an independent car repair shop fix these things for a lot less than a dealer charges.

Since you just bought the car, I would suggest politely talking to the salesman you dealt with. I'm still working with the guy I got my car from, and he has been very helpful and willing to work with me on a couple things. If they want to have a happy customer who will recommend them to friends and family, they may be willing to at least do some of the work for nothing. They should at least take care of the spark plug since something like that should be caught in an inspection prior to selling a car.

If you just bought the car from a dealer .then you typically have at least a 30day bumper to bumper warranty which should cover everything.
