On the way into work this morning I saw an example of domestic rice (wheat or corn?) that really irritated me. It got me to wonder what examples of rice other members have seen that just infuriated or otherwise repulsed them. This particular example made me consider what another Bonneville Club member saw the other day, an import (honda?) with an SSEi badge.

Here goes: A Grand Prix with dual coffee can exhaust, aluminum spoiler bolted to his decklid, various 'racing sponsor' decals, red body with SPRAY PAINTED rockers and lower facia (terrible finish and masking job), and the mother of all insults; chrome SSE stickers after the "Grand Prix" badging. These were not even Pontiac issue badges but rather a hardware store letter kit in chrome. To make matters worse, I couldn't put her in her place because I was driving my wife'* mini van (she had to go on a trip today and I had to carpool with her so that she didn't have to leave it at the airport). However, I will be on the lookout for her. She also had a website address listed on her fender: octane.com. I haven't checked it out yet but I hope it is a forum. If it is I'll challenge her!

I see one daily that makes me laugh so hard I nearly lose control of my car, here goes:

Picture if you will an older model little Honda CRX with one of those rear aluminun wings that towers over the car. The whole car is red with yellow stripes, plus the idiot has put those RV tv antenna things that look like wings all over the car. They are also painted yellow. I think there are three on the hood and a couple on the roof too. Plus it has the ricer coffee can muffler, "fear this" window stickers and about 100 other HP adding stickers all over the car, and the booming bass stereo.

I figure with the HP adding stickers, wings, fins, and ugly paint it must be good for about 1000HP probably 0-60 in 2 sec too.

Okay, a followup to the 'octane.com' sticker on the rice I saw this morning, It has nothing to do with rice. It is a link to a legitimate company. I think that this just proves our point about false claims ricers make with their speed and hp enhancing stickers. I hope I find this example again when I have a camera with me!

Well, some little Asian chick (not intended to be racist at all, just calling them as i see them) has an eclipse thet her bf spray painted pink. Of coarse it also has the full body kit and the wing, not the nicest looking car at all.

Now you all remeber the orange car from the fast and the furious, right? Well, they had sold it after the movie and I swear to god that someone here in Minneapolis bought it. It looks EXACTLY like the one inthe move, down to every decal.
