Default What type of ATF and Motor Oil is best?

I just had my ATF oil changed and weve put inGM Dexron3 i think our SSEi and i dont but was wondering what you guys(and girls) thought about AMSOIL for Motor Oil and ATF Fluid. They have Regular ATF Fluid and Heavy Duty Fluid which i wonder if thats what i should use... the SSEi trannys are more Heavy Duty then the regular 3.8s to my knowledge. well let me know what you opinions are. Let me know you experiences from different brands not just Mobil 1 and Amsoil...
Thanks Again!

I use the mobile 1 10-30 engine oil and dex 3 trany fluid. No problems with either thus far.

I have heard good things about amsoil tranny fluid but have not used myself.

Mobil 1 is great stuff. They have a few diffrent blends for whatever suits your needs...in my old Bonnevilles case, higher mileage formula.
In my new Alero I may try Quaker State 10w30 Full synthetic, just because it will be almost 2 dollars cheaper a litre for me, because we sell it at Zellers, and I get 15% off.

Mobil 1 gets the about the same ratings if not better then a lot of the more expensive exotic oils like AMSOIL and Royal Purple but its much cheaper so I stick with it. As for ATF fluid the best you can probably get is Royal Purple but if your going to be changing it a lot (mods) then any good dex 3 oil will work. I use AAMACO ATF from Autozone which is cheap but effective. If anyone beats on their tranny more than me, I'd be suprised and so far its held up well. 29,000 normal miles, 15,000 highly modded miles, with about 15 miles of track runs

For everything you wanted to know about oil....

I'm with PontiacDad we use Mobile 1 Synthetic and Dextron ATF in both our 94 and 01 Bonnevilles. The hubby would like to try the AMSOIL or maybe some Lucas Oil.

If you're thinkin of using Lucas Oil additive.. you might want to check this out.. you might change your mind..

*check out near the bottom where they putLucas oil additive into it

P.*. I'm using Heavy Duty Diesel oil stead of regular due to higher detergent level.. thus cleanin out better and IMO last longer.. but we'll have to wait and see White Quaker State oil filter for me *same as Wix but cheaper

Does anyone use F-Type Dextron (of whatever brand) in their transmissions? I've been told that it is slightly better than typical Dex. Let me know.
