What tire size should I get?
do NOT put a 45 series tire on your car without aftermarket rims

On second thought, don't try 245\50'*, 255\50 would be better. 1010tires.com actually complain of brake failure becuase of the 245\50 size when compare to stock! The thing is, would they rub the wheel well? They are 10.03 inches wide and stock is 8.85.
My stock tires were 235/55 R 17 and I replaced them with 255/50 R 17 which yields the same diameter.
You can usually upsize any stock tire by an inch wider.
My drag slicks are 255/50 R 16. They just fit on the stock 7" wide rims and only rub a tiny bit at full lock on the plastic fender liner.
Yes they are a little smaller in diameter.

How much difference would an inch make in appearance? (from 225\60 to 245\50) I have to make a decision myself too because I need new ones as well. I can get a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paw'* Touring HR'* for $500.00 (CND) on the road, total @ Cnd Tire, but are these really any good? I mean, they are from Canadian Tire. Would'nt the Kumho 711'* be better? They are only $80'* more for 245\50.
I don't mean to like take over the thread!
