Sunroofs don't wreck leather. The glass is coated for UV. And there'* a sun shade.

Mine opens in vent or retracts into the roof at 135. Haven't tried it faster than that. Not that the speed issue is even an issue, it'll open at 500 mph. There is no speed feedback for them.

um bill i think you missed what I was saying, quite understandable though. I was saying when you leave it open it messes up the interior.

I don't have a Sun/Moon Roof in my Olds but my VW Beetle does. It is interesting to note that the Moon Roof AND Windows CLOSE at speeds in excess of 90mph. I didn't know about this feature until I was going down a long mountain stretch of Interstate road and "accidently" hit that magical mystical speed. For a second there I thought I was going "Back to the Future".

I've had no such problem but If I'm in daring mood I'll try at 140, Been there but ready to crap my pants at end of nitrous run. What does bug me is going to nextgen car wash and the wind tunnel thats dries the car actually pulls the glass up enough to break seal, blast ears with a air whistle and leaves me scampering to get leaking water off suede inserts on seats.
