Default What is listed as a manuacturer vehicle on Carfax.com?/

Okay so I am about to buy this Red 2005 GXP with 7,912 miles for $18400 from a private party. Then I checked it up on Carfax and it said

7 miles Sold at auction
in Pacific Region
Listed as
a manufacturer vehicle
That throws up a red flag to me, what does that mean???
Everything else looks good though. It even still has a Warranty active for 27 months and 35,875 Miles remaining. I dont want to spend 18400 on this GXP unless I am fully certain its a good vehicle. Thanks guys!

This is what the carfax says

Factory executive demo, sometimes called a "program car" or may have been a VIP car
Buick does this with the Master'* Golf Tour or maybe a rental

The bottom has fallen out of the market and they aren't sellinglike they thought they would.

When I tried to get an RPO sheet pulled to get the specific options, all i got was a copy og the RPO codes. Mine was a dealer speciel order

That is a steal of a price with those low miles. I see no problems here. So it was sold at auction...wow! It has a clear title. Inspect it up close and ask to have it check by a mech if you are worried.

Yeah, sounds pretty darn good. I mean, sounds like Carfax didn't throw up any red flags, you will still have a lot of factory warranty for any problems that might come up (although I am sure it will only be in effect up until 3 years since the date of first service or 36k miles - whichever comes first) - all at a killer price! I would go over the vehicle in great detail and try to take a scanner with you if possible or maybe they would go with you to an AutoZone (if you have those) as they will scan your car for codes for FREE - just for peace of mind to see if it indicates anything odd. But if it all checks out and it looks good through and through - I would say to definitely buy it. At that great price, even if you had to spend a little on this or that to make it perfect - you would still come out ahead. And you still have the warranty there to back you for anything significant. I hope you get it and all goes well. That'* a great color too!
Good luck!

could have been a GM show car or a test car, because they put Manufacturers Plates on them for that
