So I want to do the Seafoam thing to my engine today but have no idea on what hose to suck it up with...I took pictures of my engine bay, if someone can please point it out for me that would be great!





I know the headers are nasty looking

Its this big fatty right here. I didn't change anything before or after I did mine. My plugs didn't foul and my oil looked fine. I didn't even get smoke though. BTW, you gotta clean that engine bay bro!

Oh yea man another question...I'm going be flushing my coolant out today...do yuo recommend the all makes all models coolant? If so how many gallons do I need? Should I go with the 50/50 pre mix or mix it myself? If I mix it with myself its half coolant half water right?

Agreed to use the brake booster hose to suck in the Seafoam.

Spray bottle Simple Green all over your warm engine bay, let sit 10 minutes, then hose off (or pressure wash with a 40 degree nozzle). Just don't spray water directly into the vents on your alternator (maybe cover the alt with a plastic bag).

Prestone Extended Life All Makes/Models is what I use for A/F. And mix it yourself; a gallon bottle of Prestone and a gallon jug of distilled water is probably $7 or $8 cheaper than 2 gallon bottles of 50/50 mix.

50:50 is the typical blend. It should take just about 2 gallons to fill; if you need a little extra, I'd say cheat on the side of more water than A/F.

Ok sweet! I got the Simple Green but stupid me got the Foam but it should work...

For the coolant I was thinking about flushing it, but do I have to get the kit of can I just put a garden hose into the raditor and turn it on and have the plug out?

Cause the kit was alittle confusing to me..

What I normally do is just take one of the hoses off the vacuum tree, and plug in my own spare length of vac hose. Keeps it simple.

Like on the back of the flush kit they showed how to do it and they said you put a T on the inlet tube..got that

they you hook up the garden hose to this thing that attaches to the raditor...got that

then it shows were you had the T that there was some other tube on top that I had no idea on..

PLUS I don't know were is the inlet tube and outlet so confused there...lol

i usually use this hose... but i guess the brake booster seems to be popular
