The reliability is great as long as you are always keeping an eye on that coolant level... If you have dissapperaing coolant and can't figure out where its going, it may be making its way into the engine through the combustion process... I have seen one totalled with 160,000 miles on it, another was in a buick with 157,000 miles and it too was totalled, I have heard of 200,000 miles on a 3800 II but have not seen that in person... Just keep an eye glued to the coolant level, and keep that oil changed and you should be good for a long time...
I guess if you really 'baby' the car, you will get a lot of miles.

The original owner of my car got the engine up to 150K or so before it blew. Not to shabby considering he didnt take care of it.

My mom'* 92 Olds 88 has well over 320,000 miles on it.

Cameron Sprague'* 92 went over 300k. The last 2 years of his car'* life were spent delivering pizza. I think it was finally his tranny that made him ditch the car.

Wow! Those are some killer numbers. When I sold my '92 ssei it had 177k miles on it. That was two years ago, and last I heard it was still going strong. Has to be 200k by now....

Look very closely if yiou can.This is jeffbayne car and yes he is a memeber here. He has over 360K on his car. Problaly more now. On the pic its 360985 to be exact.

I tool that pic back in November when we met in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. No telling how many miles he have on there now.

Thats the highest Ive seen on any car. In trucks, thats just a breakin period.

Mine has just shy of 223K miles and is still going strong. And I drive the crap out of it everyday.
