Okay, so. I checked it over. All electronics work, all options work, air blows COLD. No visible damage to interior aside from stains on driver'* seat carpet. No unusual noises at idle, no unusual noises on the road. Tranny shifts beautifully. There was only a slight left-hand pull, and that was at around 75, so there'* no problem there. Oil and tranny fluid look clean, though I'd replace both anyway, it IS a used car at 100k+ miles. Can't trust dealerships. The stain on the driver'* side does look suspiciously rusty, but I couldn't find anything rusting. Only flaw besides the stained carpets are that the center cap for the left front wheel is missing. None of the speakers seem blown, though I can't agree with the musical tastes of whoever was driving it last... And lastly, it'* PA titled already, so you don't have to bother with the inter-state hassle of title transfers. I'd recommend it, though I personally would hold out for at least an SLE. I did forget to ask if they have maintenance records on it, though, so that'* another thing to ask.

sounds like a decent deal to me, but it certainly is worth looking into the staining on the floor. especially how common water leaks are on bonnevilles, pulling the carpet back a bit for a look-see might be in order.

Thanks for the thorough report. Might have to talk to the father-in-law about taking a ride over there. I'll also have to see about getting a day off work. I still haven't heard form the Dealer. May have to call. Who did you deal with? How did he seem?
Oh yeah, so do I play dumb or do make it clear I know a little something about what I am talking about?
Any thoughts? Anyone?

Bump, if you come out to check it out, there'* a dealership about 5-10 minutes west of there that I passed on the way back that has 3 or 4 SEs of pre-00 vintage. Worth checking out if you're gonna be around there anyway.
[Edit] The guy I dealt with was just some short guy with a buzz cut, all he did was hand me the keys and tell me to go check it out, then he put a plate on for me to take it out. Never play dumb with car dealers, they'll try to mess with you every time.

I was thinking of playing dumb at first, then hitting him with a suprise attack!!!!
I will definitely check out the other lots while I am up there. I do like the fact that this one is PA titled though.
