Somebody here said that it helps reduce cavitation (the wp pulley). Knowing what the inside of the water pump looks like, I can imagine it would cavitate pretty easily. Reducing cavitation could have the net effect of higher cooling. Just don't expect to gain any noticeable horsepower. 2-5 maybe?

I don't think the ZZP Underdrive Water Pulley will fit out car because the engine mount is right next to the water pump pulley. Making the pulley even a little bigger there is not enough clearence between the pulley and the engine mount. Sorry kiddo. Those were designed for Grand Prix'* that have their engine mounts on the top front of the engine, not the side like we do.

I am running the Over alt and the under WP pulleys in my 98 NA. They have seriously improved my cooling ability (10+ degrees) and allowed my deep cell battery to stay seriously charged (BOOM-BOOM)! The Over WP does not fit as 98B says due to the motor mount. I wouldn't use the OD anyway. The WP runs way too fast on most cars to be completely efficient.
