Goodyear Eagles? When we first got the SSE, it had some Eagle GA (Touring) tires on it that were nearing the end of their lifespan. Things got pretty hairy in the rain.

Avon CR448'* on the bonne. good in dry conditions (known to break loose tho), acceptable in rain, abs has to work overtime in bad weather with them tho

LeMans A/T on the jeep, real good in dry weather but u can make them spin with a few good moves, decent in rain, havent tested them in snow yet tho i doubt ill have it that long to test

3 Starfire SX 5000'* and 1 BF Goodrich Excentia GT-H on the mercury and they are fair on dry pavement but the slightest bit of rain sends them spinning or hydroplaning, i plan to replace them soon

Kumho Steel Radial 722'* on the kia and they are great in dry roads and decent in the rain they spin on takeoffs in the rain tho

we are switching all of the cars over to goodyear assurance tripletreds when they all wear out, the mercury first cuz they suck so much.

Yeah...and that was from a roll Needless to say I was supprised to see that beautiful white smoke when i looked out my side window.

I can definately say I've never owned a car that couldn't burn the tires. Currently I run:

Bridgestone Potenza G009'* on my GP STE (225/60/16). It will easily smoke them off at any speed under ~25mph.

I have some offbrand 295/50/15'* on the Trans Am and when I bought it, due to the slipping clutch, even with a 5k clutch dump it wouldn't even bark the tires. I put a new clutch in and it successfully smokes them off to the top of 2nd with a clutch dump. And being a stock 305 with close to 200k on it, thats pretty good IMO.

As for the other cars, the GTP has Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3'*, 245/50/16'* on it and from any speed under 50 it will break them loose easily on dry pavement.

The SSEi has 235/55/17 Pirelli P Zero Nero'* on it and it will break them loose at ~20 or so with TCS off, with the TCS on you have to be going like under 10 or so...

The Monte Carlo has the stock Eagle RSA'* on it (235/55/17) and it will break them loose from ~20mph roll and slower.

On the 2 door Turbo GP we have 245/50/16 Falken Ziex ZE-512'* and from any roll the tires will not break loose (due to the boost ramp in the chip). From a dead stop if you go WOT it will chirp them once or twice and launch hard. However, with the slightest brake torque (~1500rpm or so) it allows the engine to get into boost sooner and it will make a nice smoke show. So it can smoke the tires when you want, but when you want to go they will stick.

SSEi: Toyo Proxes TPT directional tread, V-rated, aftermarket siping.
SLE: "WINGRO" off-brand crap that were new when I bought it. I had them siped.

Both cars will break loose from a roll, SSEi breaks loose when it shifts 2nd gear if it'* the least bit damp out.

But that'* when I WANT them to break loose. They both have good all-season grip.

Yokohama Avid V4S, I just recently got them, rated to 149, a little harsh ride, but seem like a real decent tire. They are very smooth at 100+ though.

Hopefully they are allright in the snow.

my car came with 4 new Pirelli (sp) i love them they are soo good all year around. when they die ill probly buy the same brand of tire. i can roast them and i can leave 2 tire marks.

I use the Futura Touring VRs for daily driving. They'll make noise if I go WOT at anything under 15mph, and they leave 2 very long black marks from a stop.
