personally I'm not a fan of racing strips, as for painting the rims as long as its done right it could be made to look nice

I agree with Will. I don't think the rims would look good black. I like the white on white myself.

He was for a little while. He is very busy in school and works all day. i do keep in touch with him every now and again. Also he is selling it. $3500.00 for all.

Yeah. I'm going to paint some rims myself soon (maybe). If I knew some powdercoating places I'd do it that way.
Have you tried looking at welding places? I know I've seen places like that that do powdercoating...just a thought.

I would agree with doing some shade of gray/silver...just to put in my two cents. Black would contrast too much. Then that kinda puts the black wheel idea out...but you could go with some type of silver-chrome -aluminum-ish wheels.
