well, over the post couple of weeks, my exhaust has been getting a little bit louder, but nothing serous, and i liked the way it sounded, not too throaty, BUT today, my muffler decided to blow a hole in itself, so now i got near straight pipes, which is loud as heck! im not really sure what to do. i dunno if i should just throw a regular muffler on or if i shuld go for a more performance one with a decent sound, but since the funds are low and im not sure how long this car is gunna make it. as much as i love her, i might just have to let her go :( im also thinkin of just leavin the muffler but it is REALLY loud and im alomst sure i will get pulled over, and my dad isnt a fan of waking the whole neighborhood up ( he wanted me to run to autozone and fix it tonight! ) so i dunno, ill see what you guys have to say, who knows, maybe tomorrow ill be tellin ya how i got pulled over..haha

agree, I wouldnt get rid of the car just because of the muffler, you can actually get one pretty cheap.

IMO I would go with the replacement OEM muffler than letting her go. It shouldnt be that hard to do.

well, my question wasnt actually if i should get rid of her just because of the exhaust, i was wondering if i should leave her as is and if the time comes get rid of it for other reasons. but thanks for your help! im gunna run to autozone tonight and get something to put in there. i was about to get a muffler from a ford explorer it was free so i thoguht what the heck, but then i found out it was dual IN and single out (major power loss there)
