Well, that'* not a good transmission
Working a a GP with a bad slipping transmission.
So I started with dropping the bottom pan.
Well, we seem to have a problem here.
Yep, this don't look good, it'* mostly aluminum.
The magnet is covered.
Another shot of the chunks
I inspected everything I could see and nothing looked out of place.
Also some heavy stuff in the middle of the pan.
Another thing we found was a lot of small brass flakes. Looks like a bushing went out.
Bottom line, the transmission is coming out. He'* looking for a replacement.

Another transmission phones in that its done playing! I bet that at some time, the driver heard something that didn't seem right.....had to! You don't crap put tranny parts like that without the tranny giving you a hint that it just puked!

the hunk of junk attached to my motor slips like hell and i never heard anything? can't wait to drop the pan on that one hehehe. it is getting swapped July 11th so expect pics!

He'* picking up another transmission tomorrow and dropping it off. I see a long day in my future. I don't think I can drop the trans from below. He has a aluminum sub frame. I may have to pull it all from the top.

If im not mistaken, you have to pull it from up top...btw he really got his moneys worth out of that tranny..is going with a Jasper (rebuilt) or a used (junkyard) tranny? Have fun with the install!!!
