Weekend fun
Went after my bad airmix acutator in the SLEeper, replacing it with the one Boost brought out for me at WCBF. Did the Techinfo procedure without dash removal. PITA, but only an hours work.

Long story short? Bad actuator. SLE is in the garage until I can find another used one.

Any tricks or secrets I can watch out for?

Just follow the Techinfo. Works well. I didn't have to remove my PCM, though. Just get the little 'finger gizmo'*' for your small 1/4 drive metric sockets. I also had to disconnect an unknown connector I could feel above the rear screw for the actuator to get the tool to fit in there.
Funny thing is he watied so long and probably had stuff piled on it... it rebelled..
or did I give him a bum one intentionally? :P
Personally..I found it easier to kneel next to the car, Stan said he pulled the seat I think?

First time I played under there (upgrading HVAC programmer) I just reclined the seat. When I went after the wretched actuator I went ahead and pulled the seat - I needed to know whether it was worth it. I think it was. I'm old and slow enough that laying off the end of the seat was rather uncomfortable. Yanking the seat was easy (non AL7), and I was so comfortable working that way that I fell asleep 3 times. As a bonus you'll probably find some Big Mac money under the seat.
Ok..well...I made it happen somehow and have done so a few times in the JY on that screw....must be why I have so many different tools.
On the seat removal...for me it would be a waste..honestly..kneeling to the side of the car was good. Seat all the way to the back.
