JUST got the same problem a few days ago. The trunk stunk sooooooo bad. Took out the carpeting in the trunk and washed them by hand.
Its on the same side too! Let me know what you find!

yesh mine stunk so bad the padding under the carpet mat was so moldy i had to though it out once i get some extra $$ im gonna buy some of that rubber underbody spray. also i looked at the other side today and its starting their too
