Very weird...
Well, I've had my car for about a year now, and it still runs fine. However, I slowly came to realize that my car is odd... It started when I found multiple cracks in my radiator, and got it replaced. My engine is NA, but the radiator I ended up needing for my car was for an supercharged engine. Well, I figured that maybe that was just a quirk of my car, being 14 years old then.
Later on, I had my uncle check my transmission and drop the pan and change the filter, just because I don't know how long it was since the last transmission service. My transmission was a 4T60, but I dunno if it was HD, uncle who was a mechanic never said.
Then I was flipping through my car'* manual the other day, and saw the VIN codes for supercharged, and NA. L is NA, and 1 is supercharged. My VIN has a 1...
So, my question is, could it be that my car is a chop shop child, or did someone try try an engine swap and failed, but never changed the VIN? (assuming they changed the VIN to the SC one before they found the problem)
It'* been bugging me a while, along with how I only get 13 or so MPG in town, when I should be getting around 16 or better.

What is the 8th digit of the VIN?
Bet it'* an L.
There were 3 different radiators in 92. Odd that way.
And look for code L27 on your RPO label. The vin engine code is always the EIGHTH digit.

yes you SHOULD have a 4T60-E.....
and you have to look at the 8th digit of the VIN for the L or 1 code
