You should replace the boost control solenoid with one that is listed for your make and model of car.

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

Try https://www.1stpontiacparts.com/partscat.html They show a Vacuum Valve Wastegate for a 93, for under $30.

Thanks for putting your vehicle nfo into your signature. It really does help!

Take a look at the illustration on that site and make certain it'* the same thing I think you are talking about. If it'* on the front of the SC at the air intake inlet and it'* what i believe you are asking...it'* called the Vacuum Valve Wastegate. All it does is keep your SC from over boost pressure by opening and closing a small butterfly valve inside the SC.

If Billboost gave you a part number for the BCS, I would use that.

The ACDelco part 214-570 is a Fuel Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid. Which is not the same as the BCS.

The part that is showing on the GM Parts web site is the total waste gate and not the solenoid.
