And 1993 SLE, not trying to preach. Just giving you the benefit(?) of my experience. I'd hate to see something happen to you, your wallet/driving record, or your car.

i could see getting out of the vehicle with the parking brake set only if these cars had manual transmissions, thats one thing i do like about having an automatic trans, is you can put it in park and get out of it! with the manual tranny you either have to shut the car off completely, or pray to the parking brake gods that it wont go rolling away!
