Default An update

Just wanted to let everyone know how things are going with the 95 after the intake manifold work was done. There is no leaks at all. The engine looks just as clean as when we finished. There seems to be no air left in the system and the coolant level stays between the cold level when cold and the hot level when hot.

And for those wondering: I did the lower as Bill Wren explained to me and there are no leaks from the coolant elbow. We took it out and put it in on an angle and never removed the tensioner assy. There was also a small ammount of sealant put around the o-rings of the elbow (actually done by Bill). There are no oil leaks from the ends either. There was sealant put in the corners to prevent this.

Just want to say thanks to eveyone who helped in any way. Some helped with the physical work and others helped through the knowledge of this forum. If it wasn't for this forum and their experience, we would have been laying another to rest because it would not have made it much longer before the upper would have let go.

Thanks Y'all.

A couple more points, we used the new LIM gaskets (aluminum) with the locating pins on a non-pinned block. Pins do NOT have to be clipped off as I stated in an earlier topic.

The LIM went through my parts washer and was transformed into a ZillaMotorsports LIM before install.

(I've been using sealant on the o-rings of the elbows as a lubricant to prevent pinching the o-ring or having a factory defect cause a leak......EK98'* was the one that got us with a factory defect)
