Default Un-freaking-believable.

Guess how many members have joined us just in February? The first 23 days?

Eighty-freaking-six. No

Are we gonna make it 100 this month? We might need a bigger server!

How much are you paying montly for this server? I had a forum like this before and it always asked me to upgrade so it was more of a personal site and not an ezboard official site. I don't remember the rates.

88 now. 2 more joined while I slept it off.

Slept, I mean.

We all asked the Creator when he moved the server, so we could help pay for it, but he IGNORED us! How RUDE!

Jeff? You're on the board right now, get your fast red car in here and speak up!

For about a year, the site was hosted off of a Linux box sitting underneath my desk, connected to the outside world with a DSL line. About a month ago, I got fed up with my ISP and the general instability of the box and bought a dedicated server at a real data center. Besides being more stable, everything is much faster now.

It'* not free, of course, but it'* nothing that I can't manage. As far as donations go: yeah, I guess I sort of sidestepped that question. I dunno, I guess I've always just justified the expense of the server as a hobby. I've had offers from several people wanting to buy banner ads, but I don't like banner ads, so I declined the proposals. I suppose that if you really want to donate something (don't feel at all obligated to do so) you could use my PayPal account: teuobk%%%ringworld.org (replace %%% with @ [I'm trying to avoid spam-bots] ).

Thanks for your enthusiasm!

Jeff

I did some recruiting on cardomain about 6 months ago. We landed about 30 members that way. I think it was October. Our best month ever for total activity. This month is our highest attendance increase.
