Default Turbo TBIRD vs 93 Bonne SE

My buddy has a 1989 Ford Thunderbird with a 2.3 Tubocharged engine.... 5 speed and 102k miles....
My car is a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville 3800 S1 n/a... ram air intake..8mm wires...and platnium plugs...high flow exhaust...
Who would win?? I like his car cuz its stick and fast but you cant tell whose is faster becuase of course a stick has more glue you to your seatness... Just wondering what your thoughts were... :?

While your on the topic of turbocharged T-birds I've always wondered what would win between a Series I 3.8 and the 3.8 Supercharged T-bird. The Thunderbird V6 makes more torque and I think it would make for an interesting race. I know this doesn't help on the 2.3 turbocharged. But personally I think the Pontiac would win em all.

Let me tell you I have driven a 4.6 Turbo Thunderbird I think it was a 91 or 2.... And that was the baddest car I have ever driven... Glued your nads to the floor mats.... Some serious Torque.
And you right that didnt help :P

Some T-bird'* are silly fast. I'll post up a drag race I recorded from the track awhile back some time of a T-bird almost taking out a Trans Am WS-6.

I was also interested in buying one. I think I can find one for round 5K. But then again there are like 4 other cars in my price range which are still just fantasies. I gotta make some loot before I go shoppin'.

As for the T-bird vs. Bonnie question, I have no idea. It would be a good race (I think). They have similar curb wieghts (the T-bird might be 300 lbs more).

OK, so I guess I really don't know anything for sure. (I think)

The supercharged 3.8 on the thunderbird would gill a 93 3800. They have 210 horsepower, and 315 ft-lbs of torque. The non */c 3.8 (ford) has 140 horsepower, and 215 ft-lbs of torque. It'd be a close race with the 3.8 thunderturd and your 93 Bonneville. As for the 2.3 turbo, you should be able to beat that one. I do not know the specs on it though..

Alrighty then... Thanks for the stats on the 3.8 TC (Ford) I was wondering about that.. Its rear wheel might be a good race if I could find one to do it against.
